Funny Face

I was sitting on the couch and Josh was on the floor playing with Jared's Handy Manny toolbox. Everytime he pushed the button to make noise he would look at me with this funny face. You can really see his "snaggle" tooth (for those of you who don't know Josh's first top tooth is his left fang tooth) in these pictures. I had to grab the camera! If having one fang tooth isn't enough, Josh's right fang seems to be the next to break through.

Jared says . . .

On the way to school yesterday . . .
J: "How many are I? 4 or 10?"
K: "You are 4."
J: "When am I going to be 60?"

On the way home from school . . .
Let me preface this by telling you that for some reason Jared thinks he was once big. He has always said that when he was big he had his own trash truck that he drove around town and picked up trash. When I asked him about being "big" he also said he was a dad and had 10 kids. Gotta love the imagination!
J: "I was wrong. I didn't drive a trash truck when I was big I drove rescue vehicles like if someone needed an ambulance I would drive it and if there was a fire I would drive the fire truck. "

Teacher

I was not in the dining/playroom with Josh but I knew he was playing with his helicopter. He understands now that the balls go in the holes of his toys so he enjoys playing with his toys that have holes and balls. I heard Jared talking to Josh so when I went into the dining room I saw Jared "teaching" Josh how to operate the toy. I am sooo looking forward to the day that they play together.

Jared says . . .

"Does Josh just cry when I get out of the truck to go to school?"

Hush Little Baby

There is just something so peaceful about a sleeping baby.

Playing School

Although Jared does not enjoy completing homework assignments, he enjoys playing school. I love this for 2 reasons. The first being this is the only way I know what goes on at school. Jared is very short and sweet when he answers the question, "what did you do at school today?". He is quick to tell you who was misbehaved that particular day. Poor Tony and Paige - they always get ratted out. The second reason I enjoy playing school is that is brings back the days I used to play school in my attic when I was a little girl. Whenever I tell Jared I used to play school when I was little he always wants to know where he was and who was taking care of him at that time (so innocent). These pictures are of Jared pretending to be Mrs. Manchester in front of the class while everyone is singing "Pink". I have seen Mrs. Manchester do this in class and Jared was pretty darn good at it.

Out and About

Josh has started crawling!!! This is all new to us since Jared skipped right over this milestone. Josh is still only taking 2 - 3 crawling "steps" but he can still get himself across a room if he wants to. I am sure it is only a matter of days until he will be there one second and gone the next.
