New neighbors

Our neighbors, across the street, have a 5-year old boy named Shane. Ever since we moved in Jared and Josh talk to Shane from across the street. This is Josh waving to Shane and yelling his name.

Red Bank Battlefield

I met up with my sister, Pam, twice and my friend, Kate, once at the Red Bank Battlefield in National Park, NJ. The boys really enjoyed it since there is more to do than just play on the playground. When we went on this particular day the boys walked along the path so they could see, and climb on, the cannons. Jared asked a lot of questions and was scared to climb on them at first. Once he realized that the cannons could not be fired anymore he had a ball getting on and off of them.

This is what happens the majority of the time when I try to take their picture together.

so that is my excuse this time for being behind on blogging. I just uploaded some pics so I will try my best to blog once again! Time for bed right now. Until next time. . .

Picture Prize

Because Jared was such a good boy getting his picture taken he was able to pick out a prize. He decided on a Lego Star Wars set of course. We had to put it together the minute we walked in the door. He is very into the lego sets now-a-days, however, Drew and I have to put them together. We have learned to super glue them so we are not putting the things together every other day :) This set made the Separatist Shuttle.

Portraits

So I took the boys out to take their picture the other day because the weather was beautiful. I wanted to get a few cute ones for Josh's 2-year portraits but he had other things in mind. Jared was much more cooperative because I can bribe him with prizes if he does a good job. My mom came with us and thinks I am nuts for taking the boys to the random locations that I find. It is well worth it to have these backgrounds.

This is by far one of my favorite pics of Jared to date. I don't like that he looks like he is 8 years old but it is such a treat to have a genuine smile on his face.

Another b-day celebration

We have to sing happy birthday with the Carpenters so we had a little get together. We ate burgers and dogs and enjoyed each other's company.
