K: "How?"
J: "Autumn."

Bad Boy Step

Now that Josh is at an age where he can understand simple tasks, we figured it is time to start disciplining him with "time out". This happens on the step in our house. Josh is a biter, unfortunately, so everytime he goes to bite someone I have been putting him on the step. Normally he screams and wants to get off but this particular time he looked over at me and laughed. When I took out the camera to document this he started saying, "cheese". I can't help but snicker when I look at these.

Patriotic Obsession

I previously wrote about Josh's love of flags. I couldn't help but take his picture the other day as he was walking around the house proudly waving his flag.

Good News

Jared did not need a chest xray since he coughing has subsided. Josh's nose is still runny but that is easy to deal with. His poor gums are so swollen where his teeth are coming in on the bottom though. He is still pleasant and starting to talk some more. Uh oh and Daddy are still the words that he says that be unerstood the best. However, he started saying, "thank you" and that is pretty clear as well. Josh is also starting to put two words together a lot more. For example when we drop Jared off at school he says, "bye Jared!" Again, it is difficult to understand what he is saying but I know because I say it first. It is exciting and interesting how differently Josh's speech is developing compared to Jared. I don't think we are going to need speech this time around.

Bad Colds

Both boys have come down with bad colds. When Jared gets a bad cold he has such a difficult time breathing because of his asthma. We were doing nebulizer treatments around the clock so we decided to take him to the Dr. on Friday. He missed his first field trip because of the breathing issues :( He was put on prednisone and is doing better. He had a follow up appointment on Sat. and the Dr. said he sounded better but he was still having issues. If his cough continues into Monday I have to take him for a chest x-ray. Josh's nose is running like a faucet but he does not have a cough thank goodness. Stay tuned!

Photo Shoot

There is a yard down the street from our house that has a dilapidated barn with really cool, high brown wispy grass. I spotted one day while we were driving and I knew I had to take pictures there. I took the boys and of course Jared would not get his picture taken. I have gone 2 times; once with Melissa. I am happy with the results.

Engagement Party
