Ugly Chair

Melissa called me today to tell me she found an "ugly" chair, by the street, out for the trash. An ugly chair is simply a chair (could be wooden or cushioned) that most people think is, well, ugly. Us photography obsessed people see beauty in them. Melissa may just make it a bit more ugly by taking some sandpaper to it. I want an ugly chair soooo bad. Therefore if any of you blogger readers happen to come across one, I would take it in a heartbeat!! Since Melissa couldn't wait to try it out, and the sun was decent, she asked if we wanted to tag along to snap some shots. I wasn't happy with my outcome but here are a few that are worth keeping.

This is Melissa's son, Liam. His face is so out of focus but it was the only decent one I got of him. I am blaming that on Josh since I was holding him at the same time I was shooting.

Here is the "cheese" face. He even says, "eeeeese".

Here comes the sun . . .

or so we thought. It was sunny and warm and Josh was taking a nap so I decided to bring out the Pirate Pool that Jenny gave the boys. We had it filled with water ready to go. Jared ate a snack and was in the pool for about 5 min. when the clouds rolled in. Mother Nature decided to dump buckets on East Taunton and ruin our pool fun. Josh woke up from his nap, it stopped raining and the sun came back out. So all 3 of us enjoyed the afternoon in the pool.
Another smile from Jared. You don't know how excited that makes me!!!

Josh started making this "cheese" face this morning. Not too sure where it came from.
Having a pretzel snack while watching Handy Manny. Josh was just in a diaper so when Jared came out of the pool he wanted to be like Josh and just wear his underwear. Priceless!!

Trying to play catch-up

We went to NJ for the weekend - there will be a post about that - but before we left we took advantage of the first "dry" day we had in a long time. The boys had been stuck in the house for over a week due to the rain so when I saw the "dry" weather forecast I took advantage. I say, "dry" b/c it ended up raining later on in the day. We went down the street to a huge lake that is part of a state park. We had a picnic lunch and then walked around for a bit. I had not had my camera out in about a week either since we had be couped up in the house. This post is image heavy as I couldn't leave many out. Since learning how to make my pictures look better using photoshop, I find myself editing each and every picture. So, as my title says, I am trying to play catch up to edit and post these pictures.
Josh doing what he does best - shoving snacks in his mouth until his cheeks can't hold anymore.

Enjoying an apple wedge.
I can't believe Jared smiled so nice! Yes, it was only the three of us - I set the camera up on the camera bag and used the timer.
Josh really enjoyed the apple wedge - can you tell??

Lake Rico.
Here come my new favorite pictures!!!!

I think this is my FAVORITE!!!

Worker Mens

Beacuse the weather has been so crummy, Jared hasn't been able to get out and ride his bike. We decided to bring it upstairs so he could practice riding since it isn't real dirty yet. The Handy Manny tools came out and the "worker mens" (as Jared says) started to fix the non-broken bike.

How dare you squirrel!!!

"What the heck is going on in these pictures", you ask? Well, Jared became upset with the squirrel the moment Drew told him that he witnessed a squirrel knock his bird feeder (made out of a water bottle) off of the deck. When he saw a squirrel on the deck about a week later, he raced out into the toy box without saying a word. He grabbed his Buzz Lightyear gun and started "shooting" the squirrel. I despise everything about toy guns but this was a bit comical.

Big Boy Bike (with training wheels)

I figured this is the summer to get Jared a bike with training wheels since he is 4 and tall enough to ride. We went bike shopping this past Sunday and sure enough came home with a bike. Jared wasn't even on the bike for more than 30 seconds and he fell. While we were looking at the pictures that I took later that night he asked me if I had taken pics of the fall and when I told him, "no" he said he wanted to have the memory of falling off for the first time. At least I know he listened when I told him the importance of taking pictures ALL the time ~ for the memories.
